Women In Sport

Greater Bank has been a supporter of women's sport in the areas we call home for decades, and as such we're beyond proud to extend our Major Community Partnership to the A-League Women squad. Our aim is to help the club promote women's football across Newcastle, The Hunter and Northern NSW.

Women’s elite sport is on the rise in Australia, presenting our local athletes with high profile stages on which to perform. The A-League Women has been central to this.

Greater Bank is proud to continue its support of the women's team, which started in 2017 when became their major sponsor. The players have shown that they are not only great footballers, but outstanding role models and ambassadors away from the playing field.

Players like Cassidy Davis, Tara Andrews and Hannah Brewer are not only proving themselves to be outstanding players in the W-League but also heroes to the many thousands of young Hunter region girls who share the same dreams of one day representing Newcastle in the W-League.
