Netball in the New England region has received a boost as the winter season commences, with Greater Bank signing up to support Gunnedah and Tamworth netball associations.
At Gunnedah the Greater Bank sponsorship will be used to purchase new equipment for the association’s representative and domestic competition teams, with the 2024 season again looking strong.
“This year at our AGM a large majority of our dedicated Gunnedah Netball Association committee have decided to move on and we are excited for our new committee to continue their fantastic work,” Secretary Aleica Swain said.
“Our registration numbers are looking strong, with our Monday night winter competition at capacity and our under 16 Saturday competition continuing to grow.
“We’re looking forward to another successful season and many exciting things on the horizon.”
Greater Bank Regional Sale Manager Will Boyd said it was wonderful to see so many people get involved.
“The great thing about netball is that it provides a social outlet as well as the chance to get some exercise,” Mr Boyd said.
“If you head down to the courts the smiles say it all, and we’re very proud at Greater Bank to be part of this community.”
