Manning Valley Netball Association (MVNA) is bouncing back in 2024, rebuilding its representative program following pandemic and flood disruptions.
After receiving a sponsorship from Greater Bank, MVNA will purchase a new gazebo to provide its players with weather protection as it supports five state representative teams.
It marks a significant rebuild for the Taree association, who only fielded one state representative team in 2023. This year also marks MVNA’s return to the Opens division, where they have not entered a team since 2017.
With MVNA also boasting two teams in the Netball NSW Regional League competition and two development teams for 11-year-olds, the Bligh Street courts are a hub of activity that host a Monday evening and a Saturday competition that has attracted almost 450 players.
Greater Bank Taree Branch Manager Simon Brown said that it was exciting to see MVNA back on its feet.
“It’s been a tough few years here, but to see Manning Valley Netball Association bounce back in such a big way this year is fantastic,” Simon said.
“It wouldn’t be possible without a dedicated committee and passionate volunteers, so a huge thanks goes to them for all their efforts.
“We’re very proud at Greater Bank to support Manning Valley Netball Association and wish them all the best for the season ahead.”
