A laptop charging station is top of the wish list for Tinonee Public School P & C Association after its success in the February round of Greater Bank’s #GreaterMidNorthCoast Community Funding Program.
Winning the public vote means Tinonee Public School P & C Association receives $2,000, with $500 going to Shoretrack Ltd (Coffs Harbour) and Heart to Heart Australia (Forster) as the monthly runners-up.
Tinonee Public School, located south of Taree, supports 150 students from Kindergarten to Year Six in a supportive and positive learning environment.
Tinonee Public School P & C Association Member, Kristy Allen, said the funding will go directly toward supporting the students.
“The P&C would love to assist with the upgrading of the children's learning technology in the classroom, which can aid in engaging students and creating a modern and fun learning environment,” Kristy said.
“This money from Greater Bank will go towards the purchase of a $2,000 portable re-charging station for the school’s laptops that secures them safely with a lock and ensures they’re always fully charged and ready to go.
“Giving the children better access to technology for learning will go a long way towards preparing them for high school and further education and training.”

Greater Bank’s Mid North Coast Regional Sales Manager, Jennifer Smith, said helping kids learn is a priority.
“Fostering a love of learning in children can provide a lifetime of opportunity through education,” Jennifer said.
“Anything that leads to higher levels of engagement in the classroom is fantastic so we are very pleased to make a contribution that will help in this way.”
Another $3,000 up for grabs in the March round, with Urunga Sail Training Club, Taree Rescue Squad – VRA and Run Port Mac as the monthly nominees.
The public can vote online until 5.00pm Wednesday 29 March, 2023 at www.greater.com.au/greatermidnorthcoast.
