We love our netball at Greater Bank and have been supporting the sport in various forms for more than 30 years.
Through our sponsorship of elite pathways through Regional Academy programs as well as 18 grassroots associations, we are proud to play our role in getting more girls onto the court each season.
We are proud that this year our support again extends to the North Coast region, partnering with the Coffs Harbour Netball Association for their 2022 season.
Association President, Tanya Slaviero, said that it’s been an exciting time for the sport in the region, with the resurfaced courts and a restriction of COVID restrictions resulting in an influx of players.
“COVID was a disruption for all of us over the last couple of years, but we also shut down our hard courts in July last year to undertake a major resurfacing which was completed for the start of the 2022 season,” Tanya said.
“With the restrictions mostly behind us and the new-look courts, our participation numbers are up more than 120 this year, which has been an incredible achievement.
“From our ‘Net, Set, Go’ kids through to our Seniors, we have more 700 netballers taking to the court each week.”
Greater Bank is in its second year as a sponsor of the Coffs Harbour Netball Association, without which, according to Tanya, they would struggle to support the game and community to the level they do.
“The sponsorship from Greater Bank is hugely important. Our main source of funding is through player registration, but that certainly doesn’t cover our total expenses to run the Association which is more than $60,000 annually.
“Sponsorship enables us to offset many of these costs such as leasing fees, electricity, equipment, and court maintenance.
“It also means that the fundraising that we do can be put back into our rep program, as well as supporting other community and philanthropic activities.”

The 2022 Coffs Harbour Netball Association conducts competitions from February to December each year. Junior Grand Finals will take place on Saturday, 10 September before the start of the Summer Twilight Series.
