Growing the junior club and providing better facilities for members are renewed priorities for the Dubbo Bulls FC after taking out the May round of Greater Bank’s #GreaterCentralWest Community Funding Program, and with it $2000.
The Bulls secured the public vote, ahead of runners-up, Eglinton Eels Junior Rugby League Club and Central West Gymsports (Orange) who each received $500.
Established in 2005, the Dubbo Bulls FC currently fields teams across the men’s, women’s, and junior competitions.
Dubbo Bulls FC President, Scott Fox, said the club is committed to encouraging all members to be their best, and in doing so provides the support for young players to develop their football skills and understand the value of teamwork.
“With more than 130 local players from five years old and up, we aim to showcase our communities’ best and brightest footballing superstars of tomorrow,” Scott said.
“We are also an inclusive and safe community organisation that strives towards the notion that community spirit is essential to progress.
“Helen Keller said ‘Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much’, and that’s the approach we take at the club.
“This funding from Greater Bank will help us further expand our junior ranks, renew some of our training gear and invest in a marquee to provide some shade at gala days and other club events.”

Greater Bank’s Central West Regional Sales Manager, Will Boyd, said providing pathways for success is very important.
“Sportspeople all over the state need opportunities to build their skills and abilities to give them the best chance to succeed and fulfil their potential,” Will said.
“The Dubbo Bulls aim to give local players that chance, as well as developing pride in their community. That’s why we are pleased to offer them our support through the community funding program.”
Voting in the June round of the #GreaterCentralWest Community Funding Program is open from 9.00am Monday, June 6 until 5.00pm Wednesday, June 29, with Daffodil Cottage Bathurst, Little Wings (Orange) and Can Assist Dubbo in the running to share in $3,000.
