We love our netball at Greater Bank and have been supporting the sport in various forms for more than 30 years.
Through our sponsorship of elite pathways through Regional Academy programs as well as the 18 grassroots associations, we are proud to play our role in getting more girls onto the court each season.
This year our support again extends to the New England partnering with the Tamworth and Gunnedah Associations.
Tamworth Netball Association has been promoting the game since the 1930s and this year will have more than 1200 players across 109 teams and 14 clubs taking to the court.
Association Secretary, Lisa Fox, said that Greater Bank’s sponsorship will not only help the Tamworth’s representative teams, it will also offset costs for players to ensure netball remains one of the most affordable sports to play in the region.
“It was important to the Association that our members directly benefited from Greater Bank’s support. The sponsorship helps with the overall running of the association and the purchase of a range of equipment, the cost of which would otherwise be put back on the clubs and players,” Lisa said.
“We also use part of the funding to support our representative teams to help with their costs of competing in the state championships later in the year.
“It’s important that we make the sport affordable and accessible to as many people as possible, which this sponsorship enables us to do.”

Gunnedah Netball Association President, Jen Muddle, said that Greater Bank’s sponsorship support will go toward getting their rep teams to the State Championship in the coming months.
“Participating in the State Championships is a great honour for regional associations like ours, but it can also be an expensive exercise to travel and accommodate the players,” Jen said.
“This year we will have two teams taking part in the Junior State Championships hosted by the Baulkham Hills Shire Association from 2 to 4 July, and our U17 rep team will head to Camden, south-west of Sydney to participate in the Senior State Title over the June long weekend.
“The sponsorship not only assists the rep players but also frees up many of the committee members from fundraising activities, which enables us to focus not only funds but also time towards running our competition.
“We are incredible grateful of this wonderful support provided by Greater Bank support.”
The Tamworth and Gunnedah Netball seasons will both get underway on 30 April and run through until September.
