Everyone knows that if you put money in the bank, you’ll get a return in the form of interest payments.
One lucky Greater Bank customer has enjoyed a far greater return though, winning $20,000 just for using his Greater account.
Zakiah Sampson is the lucky winner of our recent Visa campaign competition, who qualified to enter simply by opening and using a Greater Ultimate Access Account.
The 24-year-old from Kurri Kurri said he was still coming to terms with his windfall.
“I was really surprised to get the call from the bank telling me that I had won the money - I didn’t believe them at first,” Zakiah said.
“I haven’t really got any special plans for the money at this stage. To be honest I haven’t really had time to sit down and think about it yet.
“At the moment, my focus is looking after my young family. I have 20-month-old twins and a baby on the way, so life is pretty busy for me and my partner right now.
“I’ve also just started a new job so that’s taking a bit of my focus too.
“We would like to buy a house at some stage, so this is certainly a good addition to our deposit savings and I’m sure we can figure out a little something special to do with some of the cash."

To enter the Open It, Use It, Win It competition, all you had to do was open a new Access or Ultimate Access account and then use that new account by spending at least $100 in a single transaction.
The competition ran from 13 March 2022 to Sunday 1 May 2022, with people able to enter up to 10 times if they made multiple transactions over $100 from one account. More entries were permitted if the customer used another new account for any additional transactions over the minimum spend limit.
