After two years of disruption, the Coffs Harbour Netball Association has enjoyed a terrific 2022, with just two days lost to inclement weather.
While the junior season is complete, the seniors’ grand final will be played in December.
Coffs Harbour Netball Association President, Tanya Slaverio, said the 2022 season has been much smoother than the previous couple of years.
“It really has been a great year. Our rep teams won the regional league, we had Coffs players representing the North Coast, and joining pathways programs for state honours,” Tanya said.
“We’ve also enjoyed the first season on our resurfaced courts, which was a $2.5million project that began at the end of the 2021 finals.
“The biggest highlight though has been the record player numbers. We had around 750 registered players across 30 senior teams playing on a Wednesday night. We’ve been delighted to have so many people enjoying netball.
“The ongoing support from Greater Bank has also been exceptional.
“That funding helps to cover the cost of resources like netballs, but really makes a difference in allowing us to keep registration fees lower, and making the sport accessible to more people, particularly families with multiple players.
“We also loved having Greater Bank staff along to our Grand Final day to cook the barbie and entertain the kids!
“Knowing the Greater Bank support is there – as it has been for many years now – really makes a big difference to us as we head towards the end of the 2022 season and look forward to 2023,”
